As always, the Clean Hydrogen Partnership celebrated excellence by rewarding top projects and beneficiaries of funding during an awards ceremony on 20 November 2024.
The awards recognized outstanding achievements in the following categories: Best Success Story, Best Innovation (selected by public vote), Best Outreach, and European H2Valleys of the Year. This year, a new category, the Women in H2 Innovation Award, was introduced to honor exceptional contributions to research and innovation by women in the hydrogen sector.
We are proud to announce that the Everywh2ere Hydrogen project, which we coordinated from 2018 to 2023, has won the Best Success Story Award at the European Hydrogen Week 2024.
This achievement adds to Everywh2ere’s legacy, following its wins for the Best Outreach Award in 2020 and the Best Innovation Award in 2021. It highlights the project’s groundbreaking success in developing hydrogen-powered portable generators tested across various events and industrial applications. The award reflects the collective innovation and dedication of all project partners to advancing sustainable energy solutions.
Selected by public vote from six nominees, Everywh2ere’s success story centers on its innovative, easy-to-install transportable generator. Designed to provide temporary power at locations such as construction sites, cultural events, and ports, the generator combines fuel cell stacks with hydrogen technology, offering a clean alternative to noisy and polluting diesel generators.
“This recognition underscores the transformative potential of portable hydrogen-powered generators to drive sustainable energy solutions across diverse industries,” said Danica Maljković, Chair of the Clean Hydrogen Partnership Governing Board, during the award presentation.
“We deeply appreciate the public’s support and are honored to have contributed to innovations in clean, portable power that help reduce emissions and promote green energy,” she added.
